MISSION: LERAMZEN

MISSION: LERAMZEN

All characters, established or new, will receive a form of this dossier to their devices. Thus, consider all information hereon as ICly available to all characters.

Role sign-ups are due 23:59 UTC on 20 May. Roles and teams will be announced on 1 June.

Please direct questions here. Due to the short length of this mission, there will be no bounty board. This mission is tentatively scheduled to end on 18 June.

LERAMZEN BRIEFING

The mission will take recruits to the city of Leramzen, the capital of Borivosk, a wealthy, technologically advanced country on the planet Perun.

The Borivoskans have recently recovered a massive diamond from the neighboring planet Vyri, its natives' Renaissance-era technology no match for the Borivoskans' lasers and light shields. The Borivoskans have luckily left the planet alone after plundering it, uninterested in colonization, but the loss of the diamond has shaken the lives of the natives of Vyri. The TIMELINE.exe calculates that within one thousand years, Vyri will reach space age technology and will wage an all-out war on Borivosk, resulting in the destruction of this universe.

The energy this timeline generates by its continued existence is more valuable than that which would be generated by its destruction, so the TIMELINE.exe has flagged it for preservation.

PRIMARY OBJECTIVE: Recover the diamond. In order to keep the Vyri natives from harboring a centuries-long grudge against the Borivoskans, the diamond must be returned. It is currently being housed in the State History Museum, located in downtown Leramzen.

OPTIONAL OBJECTIVE: Replace the diamond with a fake. To keep the Borivoskans from retaliating against the technologically inferior natives of Vyri, it is recommended a fake diamond be created and seamlessly replaced.

LERAMZEN OVERVIEW

The city of Leramzen is located in a valley and is surrounded by mountains on all sides, its bright lights keeping the eighteen-hour-long nights well-lit and welcoming. The remaining four hours of the day are dim, as the sun barely rises above the horizon this time of year; Audentes will be entering Leramzen in the middle of winter, so dress appropriately!

Finding lodgings is up to individual team members; there are a large number of luxury hotels in downtown Leramzen that should accommodate anyone's tastes. You will be provided a higher than average stipend due to the high costs of living in Leramzen, so please be aware of prices and try not to spend it all on souvenirs! The city has a luxurious atmosphere, but it's important to remember that you are here to work.

The natives of the planet Perun are similar to humans in appearance and in genetics, but Leramzen itself is a cosmopolitan city and is accustomed to all types of species and lifeforms, so there is no need for cloaks. (NOTE: Human cloaking devices will be available on request from requisitions.)

While Borivosk is aware of space travel, your mission to retrieve the diamond is obviously a bit of a secret, so you'll need to be undercover for this one.

It is highly recommended you leave animal companions at Oska for this mission, as their presence may be more of a distraction than a boon.

The Borivoskan language has been uploaded to your magitek, as it is the only language you are expected to encounter. This will allow for full communication, including reading and writing.

Downtown, there is the State History Museum, which is currently hosting the stolen diamond and will be holding a gala in two weeks after your arrival. Every member of Audentes has a ticket to the gala, which your mission analyst, George, has pinpointed as the perfect time to steal the diamond.

Please rendezvous with George within your first two weeks in Leramzen so he can provide all the support he can.

Your team will be quickly removed from the planet once your mission is complete to avoid detection, so get your sight-seeing done before the gala and try not to get too attached to the natives.

TF's adorable lizard he got from the AC awards was with him during the heist. Because Blackjack is invisible to almost everyone but the people he shared the egg with, would he have been confiscated at all?

2 questions for you, mods!

1) Re: kill count: if they actively assisted someone else kill a lot of people (Ultron) or deliberately set off a weapon that resulted in deaths (she set off the Hulk in a populated city on purpose), would it count as direct or indirect?

2) Would Wanda's telepathic abilities have any effect on the guards or other inmates? Both reading their minds and obeying any suggestions she might make to them. She would primarily be looking for information about the prison and means of escape.

Are prisoners allowed to have physical contact (hugging, hand holding) with each other?

Re: Confiscated items/weapons with the prison. Just checking but something like Sakura's whistle she keeps on her that looks like a necklace of a bird, or her staff when it is in necklace form (which it would be, she hasn't had it active with the heist mission), and her cards (since they look like tarot cards, basically) would these be taken from her in prison?

requesting a convo with george! during the first day of imprisonment, giorno would approach george to speak with him regarding the blue-skinned woman and basically ask for any information or theories george has. why are you so suspicious george you can tell him.

in regards to items! Mettaton tends to use him body as a storage container in his more robotic forms and, while there's nothing particularly dangerous on him atm (aside from a... prop chainsaw), would it be something the guards know about? If so, did they confiscate anything? If not, would they know enough to keep him from squirreling away any potential weapons to distribute...?

in regards to george, mtt wouldn't talk to him, but he would dump the guy's food tray like he was dumping a bunch a books. 8( Sorry, george.

okay awesome, thank you! one more question: if a close eye is kept on this woman's behavior, will anything odd be noticeable?

absolutely! honestly he wouldn't say anything about it anyway given that it would just seem to him like george being paranoid, so no worries on that count. thanks for the quick answers, mods!

That's fair enough. I just wanted to check, thanks mods! I figured she might get away with the whistle and staff in necklace form but was less sure on the cards, since they aren't obvious weapons.

a few more questions!

1) would sai be allowed to keep his scrolls and ink? ostensibly they're just normal paper and ink; there's nothing about them that would imply they can be weaponized.

2) if sai attempted to use his transformation jutsu to disguise himself as one of the correction officers, would his death count symbol still be visible?

3) if he is allowed to keep his scrolls/ink, and he sent ink creatures like ants/flies throughout the ship looking for potential information for how they could escape, would he find anything of note? he'd probably have them follow the correction officers into their quarters and around the ship to get a sense for their routine and which areas might be the most vulnerable.

4) what would happen if an inmate attempted to feign illness/did so convincingly?

Hello! Fiona is going to ask Cecily if she knows anything about who owns the prison ship. Since the guards are aliens, is it related to the Borivoskan justice system at all? Also, how long has Cecily been an inmate?

Would the notes that Lucy and Nyuu use to communicate with each other be confiscated? Lucy had them on her person. And would the hat received from AC bank rewards also be confiscated, or would they allow her to keep it since it's just a plain old hat? (Lucy stuffed it into her formal purse hoping that it would bring good luck.)

1) I was thinking specifically of the situation where the twins had teamed up with Ultron to help him acquire materials for his weapon. Would the people killed by it in Sokovia and after count?

2) Noted and thank you! I'll let you know if she intends to control anyone, as of now I have no plans to do so.

After about three days in solitary confinement Odinson is probably going to lose his shit and do his very darndest to get out of there, to the point of doing himself serious injury since the walls won't break. How are the guards likely to react to this? Would they try to sedate him or just leave him to himself?

thanks mods!

some more questions now that i have slept:

1) i'm assuming i'm correct in this, but just in case: even if stiles' direct actions caused him to be possessed and that caused a bunch of deaths, would it be the fault of the spirit who possessed him, even though the spirit in question used his body to make the killings happen?

2) if someone were to try and see what the guard tower is made of/how it functions/if there is anything there that could be used to help break them out eventually during the riot, would that be possible? and if so, what would the results be -- what would they find out, and would they get caught?

3) by asking around, what can be learned of the structure of the prison they are in, the other cell blocks, etc? also, would the guards be susceptible to feminine wiles if nami tries...

4) since the characters are keeping their jewelry, would those work as the cash required for the requisition booth?

5) and finally, how strict are the guards about how the jumpsuits are worn... i'm assuming the characters are keeping their underwear even if their actual clothes have been switched? if nami tries to wear hers open from the front to her waist would they stop that... yes this is very important okay.

While the walls can't be damaged/breeched, Loki's got a few other tricks, namely both shapeshifting, astral projection and illusions. I figure that the astral projection will only works in the confines of the prison, but will the illusion & shapeshifting still work?
