Team Save Mavahari (also known as "Scott, what is morally correct to you isn't necessarily morally correct to everyone and you should probably get input from the person you're trying to save you stupid protagonist") is probably going to want to talk to Mavahari before the upcoming mission. Would that be okay? And how would that small group go about it?
