OCTOBER CALENDAR.

CALENDAR

Hello, worldhoppers! I'm excited you're here, and hopefully you are too. A few announcements before we begin!

GAME MECHANICS
Since it's a brand new game, we'll probably all be testing out some mechanics to see how they go. You'll know if it's something being tried out, and you'll be able to vote on whether to keep it or not after the fact. You'll also be voting on a couple of other OOC things throughout the next few months, so keep a look out!

ACTIVITY CHECK
Since the game is in its infancy and everyone is new, this month only one proof of activity will be required as opposed to two. One proof of 5 comments in a log works, but two proofs with 2 and 3 comments do not. Also, check out the AC Bank to see rewards for extra activity!

LOCATIONS
City locations have been updated! Take a second to familiarize yourself with them.

WHAT ABOUT THE DRAGONS?
You and your characters will get to find out what happens to Anwick and the dragons in the intro log. :) You probably haven't seen the last of them.

OCTOBER 2ARRIVAL. Characters arrive in Odette; they may choose to spend this first week wisely, speaking with goblins or humans to gather information, or they may choose to shirk responsibility and go off on their own.

Lodging at any of the three inns can be paid for with ALASTAIR stipends, but it's up to characters to take care of it. They may share rooms, whether it's for money saving purposes or for because there weren't enough rooms left. They may also choose not to stay at any of the inns; should they buy the necessary supplies, they can camp near the woods. Sleeping anywhere in the city is not advised, and characters will be asked to leave by law enforcement.

Regardless of where they're staying, a letter with the royal seal will eventually find its way to them, thanking them for their efforts to end the goblins' defiance and inviting them to the Festival of Illumination.

OCTOBER 4FESTIVAL OF ILLUMINATION. Every citizen is instructed to line their windows with lighted candles. The fountain in the city square will be filled with floating lighted lotuses, and citizens will light sky lanterns to illuminate the city. Apparently, not everybody is happy about this.

THE FIRST LOG WILL ENCOMPASS OCTOBER 2-4.

OCTOBER 7 By the seventh, goblins are becoming suspicious of the human newcomers. Their doors will begin to close to humans if they have not already forged a friendship or alliance with a goblin who can vouch for them. Humanoid supernatural creatures (vampires, werewolves, shapeshifters, etc.) will still be welcomed. Those seen speaking with goblins will find themselves looked at with dislike, and a few vendors may begin to refuse selling to them if they hear the rumors.

OCTOBER 17 A vicious fight breaks out in the center of the city with long-term unforeseen consequences for the characters. There will be an event write-up as the day nears.

OCTOBER 23 In the aftermath of the fight, the king issues a controversial decree.

OCTOBER 25 ACTIVITY CHECK BEGINS AT 12:01 AM GMT.

OCTOBER 31ALL HALLOWS' EVE. At first, all seems normal. The streets are crowded despite the darkness and unrest, and everyone's having a good time! The night ends with a bang, however... There will be an event write-up. ACTIVITY CHECK ENDS AT 12:59 PM GMT.
