HIATUS / DROP.

HIATUS & DROPS
Please fill out the proper form and comment here, with either 'hiatus' or 'drop' in the subject line. If you do not officially hiatus or drop with this page and are swept with AC, this will be considered an idle and you will not be able to app any character until the next app round or two months have passed, whichever comes later. The mods also reserve the right to kill off idled characters at our discretion.


HIATUS

CURRENT TRIMESTER: MAY, JUNE, JULY, AUGUST

Hiatuses may be posted at any time during the month, as long as you did not already take a hiatus during the current trimester. Hiatuses posted during the activity check-in period (the 1st–5th of every month) will not exempt you from AC. Consecutive hiatuses (taking a hiatus two months in a row) are also not allowed, nor are hiatuses preceded or followed by a strike.

If you already took a hiatus this trimester and do not have enough activity, please see the strike page. Requests for strikes will not be taken after the activity check-in period closes.

If you are on hiatus during an HMD month, you may either supply it that month or turn it in with your AC the following month. If you miss the HMD deadline while you are on hiatus, you may still fill it out before the next month's AC with no penalty.


DROPS

The default for dropped characters is to be ICly transferred to a different guild or to a support role at Hathaway HQ. These characters may be re-apped any time that apps are open.

If you would instead like your character to quit and return to their home world, please keep in mind that this is considered a permadrop; should you wish to return with this character, you must re-app them without game memories. A character may quit at any time but will not receive their incentive. Please let us know in your drop comment if your character is quitting.

If you have been here for more than six OOC months, your character can retire with their earned incentive. Like characters who have quit, retiring is considered a permadrop and you must re-app without game memories, should you wish to return with that character. Please let us know in your drop comment if your character is retiring.
